Puma was established back in 1924, brothers Rudolf and Adolf Dassler founded the company in Germany under the name Gebrder Dassler Schuhfabrik - Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory. Even at the beginning Puma had ties in the sporting world, by providing Dassler spikes to a majority of German athletes in the 1928 Olympics. After the war the company is officially registered as Puma, and Rudolf Dassier successfully develops a football boot with screw-in studs. For decades Puma trainers are used by all sorts of athletes, in Olympic games, football and basketball and are still used today. Puma is indisputably one of the most memorable sporting brands today, with the Puma logo recognisable at a glance all over the world.
